Annual Meeting of the Congregation, 2018

January 21 the congregation met following worship to hear about Bethany's varied ministries. It was an opportunity to once again answer the question, What is our Mission as Bethany Church, by hearing of everything from Pilgrim Head Start and our relationship to this significant community pre-school education program that meets in our facility, to development of a community garden, to experiences of tutors at Dellview Elementary, to special offerings in response to community and worldwide needs [a special offering for Puerto Rican relief channeled through Gethsemane Lutheran Church's Pastor Eric Miletti who took supplies and a group to his home territory, as one example], to sharing our spaces with Samoan Congregational Church, to our growing relationship with Dellview Area Neighborhood Association, to special neighborhood projects including collection and disbursement of new blankets for senior citizens and non-perishable food items for anyone who needs them, etc. It was an excellent review of why we exist as Bethany Church.
